Time - What do we do with it?

Time is a funny thing. We can’t really contain it. Oh we can set  time limits for games and sports, but that’s not what I mean. I’m talking about some of the phrases we use about time, that seem to say we have no control over it.

I’m running out of time.

Do you have the time?

I don’t have the time.

Oh, it was a good time.

Ooh, you caught me at a bad time.

Time flies.

Time will tell.

The time is ripe.

It’s only a matter of time.

Hit me baby one more time.

This is taking too much time.

What time is it?

But there is one phrase that will always empower you and those around you when you say this to them. I will make time. Yes I know we don’t physically create or have the ability to lengthen a minute or an hour, but we ALL can say I will make time for you. That is incredibly powerful.

Make time…… that is almost incomprehensible that we can do this…. Yet we can.

Our life is deeply connected with this concept of time.Mostly, how we use it. The story of our life after we are gone, or even while we are still here, is basically told by what we did or do with the time we have been given. Did we laugh, did we love, did we grumble all the time? We cannot retrace our steps and get it at again. Yet, we can stop what we are doing, to do something else with our time. Something that matters. Life is full of second chances, but we only get one chance for life. How do we make the best of it? We make the time.
