Walking in the Rain

I feel like we hardly ever take a walk in the rain. Well except in the movies or in a poem. Oh on occasion we are forced to, but we take an umbrella. Like we are afraid to get wet. We pray for rain, we look for the rainbow. We want our gardens and crops to grow, the reservoirs to fill up. But rarely do we take a walk and get soaking wet. We run this funny kind of scamper to the house, fighting with an umbrella or raincoat.

Why don't we simply allow ourselves to be immersed into that we so often want in times of drought?

Perhaps faith and hope reside in this much more than we know.

So step outside. Leave the cell phone behind. Forget the protective rain gear and get drenched. I believe it is a most cleansing idea for you and your very soul.
